What a day as a WVU Mountaineer fan.  I traveled to West Virginia with my oldest daughter and her friend to go to the game with my father and 2 brothers.  College Gameday was on campus and the atmosphere was incredible!

I had a great moment in life late in the 3rd quarter.  WVU scored to pull within 6 points of LSU.  The crowd was crazy, the music was blaring, we were all happy and singing, my daughter was to my right and my father was to my left....it doesn't get much better than that.....we were in "Almost Heaven"!  I had to say a prayer of thanksgiving.

Then, LSU took the kickoff all the way back into the endzone the following play.  WVU couldn't get any closer after that moment.

It still was a great day!

The Carolina Hurricanes are back in town.  Each athlete has to go through a very extensive preseason physical.

They arrive at the Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine location in North Raleigh.  Our eye doctor team has four optometrists that completely evaluate the health of their eyes, refractive needs and how well their visual system works.  I use the results to rank each player visually and compare them to the other players in their position.  It is very interesting how the elite athletes perform better visually.

The athletes complete their medical physicals as well as perform physical tasks to demonstrate where their bodies are physically after off season workouts
