Dave Telep witnesses it first hand everyday he steps into his office. Only, his office is many different gymnasiums and basketball courts throughout the nation. And what he is witnessing is the fact that some high school basketball players have what it takes to advance to the collegiate level.....and some don't.

I've known Dave for a while now. I was telling him about my book last year when he just started shaking his head.  He then began to tell me the story (one I've heard from many other athletes) on how his vision got in the way of his dream of playing his sport.

Dave works for ESPN.com as their Senior Basketball Recruiting Analyst. He tells me that he believes to this day vision is still being taken for granted and goes as a relatively ignored issue until it is too late.
